Visit a Canmore Museum – Canmore Museum and Geoscience Centre, Canmore Public Art Gallery (Canmore Library) and Northwest Mounted Police Barracks
Go caving with Canmore Cave Tours (click to book)
Soak in the Banff Upper Hot Springs
Take a brewery or distillery tour: Canmore Brewing Company, Grizzly Paw, RAW Distillery and Wild Life Distillery.
See a Movie at The Lux Cinema in Banff
Treat yourself at one of the many Spas in Canmore – Bodhi Tree Spa, Canmore Spa & Hair, Verde Day Spa Inc., One Wellness and Rapunzel’s Salon and Spa
Go Bowling at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel or at High Roller on Banff Ave
Take a drive around Banff town: up to the Hoodoos Viewpoint, along Vermilion Lakes Road, or the Lake Minnewanka Loop
Visit Lower Bankhead. There are still remains of the old town. (Minnewanka Loop)
Take a drive on the 1A: Visit Johnson Canyon and Temple Viewpoint
See the Bow Falls (they won’t be hidden in fog)
Go to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel (the first two levels are open to the public)
Enjoy the water-park and slides at the Douglas Fir Resort on Tunnel Mountain Road
Banff: Play Pool at the Rose and Crown, the Pump & Tap Tavern, Mel’s Sports Bar (upstairs), or Wild Bill’s Saloon (18+ only), the Legion, Tommy’s Neighbourhood Pub, The Banff Ave Brewing Company (Family Friendly), or Baci Ball at High Rollers.
Canmore: Play pool at the Rose and Crown and Patrinos Steak House and Pub.
Enjoy the Banff Lake Cruise on Lake Minnewanka (boats are covered at heated)
Hop on the ROAM bus for tour of Banff
Take a Carriage Ride along Banff Avenue (Carriages are covered and blankets are provided)
Go fishing (the fish can’t hide in the rain!)
Go rafting (you get wet anyway!)
Escape from EureKa (located underneath the Lux Cinema Banff)
Visit a Banff Gallery – Canada House Gallery, All in the Wild, Mountain Gallery at the Fairmont, Willock and Sax Gallery, The Quest Gallery and Water Phillips Gallery at the Banff Centre
Visit a Canmore Gallery – Avens Gallery, Elevation Gallery, Fallen Leaf Art Gallery, Fireweed Glass Studio, Carter-Ryan Gallery, The Hive Gallery and Gatherings and Lifeways Gallery.

Visit the Sally Borden Building at the Banff Centre – there is a Fitness Centre, Indoor Climbing Wall, Spinning Studio, and Aquatic Facility including a swimming pool, hot tub & steam room
Visit Elevation Place in Canmore – there is a Fitness Centre, Indoor Climbing Gym, and Aquatic Facility including a swimming pool, lazy river, waterslide, hot tub & steam room.
Go shopping – Browse through the many shops in downtown Canmore and Banff.
Use your creative side and stop by Crock A Doodle to paint your own pottery
Take a cooking class at The PaintBox Lodge in Canmore
Enjoy walking around inside the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
Enjoy the exhibits and theatre inside the Lake Louise Visitor Information Centre
If you’re not afraid of getting a little wet and muddy, don your wet weather gear and hike Tunnel Mountain, Grassi Lakes and Heart Creek.
