Things to consider when renting this property:
• The entire property is designated as a No Smoking Area. If it is found that any Guest has smoked on the property, including inside or on the balcony, a $300 charge will apply.
• Please note that the private entry to the unit is at street level. Upon entering the foyer area, you then ascend a flight of stairs to access the main living area. There is not an elevator or wheelchair lift inside the unit.
• As Canmore was originally a mining town, the town core was built around the rail line. This means that the majority of downtown properties and hotels back onto the rail line -- including this property. If sitting on the balcony, or in the living room with the balcony doors open, you can definitely hear the train as it passes. Once the door is closed, the train is no louder than a car passing. The master bedroom is located on the opposite end of the property. Properties in this part of town were built with extra soundproofing so the train would not be a problem. We can actually hear the train louder from our house (which is 6 blocks from the rail line) than at the condo because our house does not have the same soundproofing.
• Due to the narrow building space on the valley floor below these wondrous mountains peaks, all condo Tourist Home properties are required to be built above commercial units to make the most ofthe space available. The Summit Place building contains 2 restaurants, a bakery and coffee shop, a Doctor's Office, and a supplement store. At the time of writing, we have not received any concerns with regards to noise or traffic created by these commercial units. We regularly receive favourable comments from guests who have enjoyed these facilities. No matter which unit you choose (whether a Rockies Rentals property or elsewhere) be sure to ask which commercial units are located in the building. |
