Things to consider when renting this property:
• The entire property is designated as a No Smoking Area. If it is found that any Guest has smoked on the property, including inside or on the balcony, a $300 charge will apply.
• Please note that the private entry to the unit is at street level. Upon entering the foyer area, you then ascend a flight of stairs to access the main living area. There is not an elevator or wheelchair lift inside the unit.
• As Canmore was originally a mining town, the town core was built around the rail line. This means that the majority of downtown properties and hotels back onto the rail line -- including this property. If sitting on the balcony, or in the living room with the balcony doors open, you can definitely hear the train as it passes. Once the door is closed, the train is no louder than a car passing. The master bedroom is located on the opposite end of the property. Properties in this part of town were built with extra soundproofing so the train would not be a problem. We can actually hear the train louder from our house (which is 6 blocks from the rail line) than at the condo because our house does not have the same soundproofing. |
