We have two units, side by side: Summit Place 5B and Summit Place 6B.

In April 2019, 6B is being renovated with a new kitchen, new flooring, updated bathrooms, and a door to Listing 5B. 
The recently renovated Dining Room and Kitchen will remain in 5B for gatherings of up to 12 guests, and the Living Room will be removed.

The Living Space in 6B will be a larger space. The kitchen will remain in 6B, so meal preparation will be a breeze with access to two full kitchens. This will turn the two existing properties into one larger, centrally-located apartment, with the same amazing views of the surrounding mountains and space for a group of 12 to enjoy Mountain Living.

The total living space will be 2200+ square feet plus balconies.

We are offering a discounted rate for all reservations made prior to the new photos being available. Now is your chance to rent an amazing unit before anyone else has the chance. The discounted rates have been factored into the AirBnB rates.

Questions
What will the renovation look like? 
Summit Place 6B will have a Kitchen/Bathroom almost identical to Summit Place 5B. Same finishes, same appliances, slightly different layout. So if you like the look of the recently renovated 5B, you will enjoy the new 6B renovation.

What if the renovation is not completed in time for my arrival? 
Don’t worry – it WILL be! We have renovated many properties, and are working with the same contractor. Rockies Rentals has a long history of under promising and over delivering. If there is a situation far beyond our control that prevents us from delivering as we’ve promised, we would either offer a discount to stay in the two side-by-side units, offer a complimentary upgrade to one of our other 4-Bedroom units, or find another property for you outside of our inventory. The Rockies Rentals Crew has a strong commitment to going above and beyond for guests.

What if I’d rather have one home, with space for 12? 
Well, you may have noticed that there aren’t many available. If you find one in your price range, you should book it! Immediately! 
Canmore has a shortage of homes that can accommodate large groups. 
Low Supply = High Demand. And that is the same reason why these two units are being joined. There are many 2-Bedroom units in Canmore, but only a handful of 3+ bedroom units.

We have 16+ people. Can you help? 
Sure. We also manage Listing Summit Place 2B in the same building. That group will just need to stroll over to your unit and hang out with you. You will need to book this separately: www.rockiesrentals.ca/summitplace2b  

Please Note: Only registered guests are permitted in the unit. If you have guests staying at another hotel, please contact us by phone for details. It gets a little tricky if you book a unit for 10 guests, but want to host dinner for 20 guests.

Location

The property is located in Canmore, Alberta. It is on the second level, access by a private indoor staircase. Below are shops and restaurants. It is a 5-minute walk to the main street (restaurants, galleries and shops) and a 5-minute walk to Policeman’s Creek and local walking trails. It is a 15-minute drive to Banff. Trains are a factor of life in all Canadian mountain towns. From the very beginning Canmore was built around the train line, including 90% of the local hotels and condos in town, which means that this property is along a train line, however, it is very well insulated against sound (and cold!). Bedrooms are on the opposite side of the condo from the train line and the train should not disturb even the lightest of sleepers. Watching the trains go past is actually quite fascinating and not just for the train buffs! Please read our guest reviews.

Parking

There is a large parking lot out the front of the condo that is shared by other condo residents and the businesses. You can park where you like and parking is free.

Minimum Stay

Do you want to stay in one of our properties but the minimum stay is too long for you? Please get in contact with us. We can put you on a wait list in case the minimum stay is shortened or we add a new property to our inventory that has a shorter minimum stay. We can also keep you on the wait list in case we can ‘Split the Week’. What we mean by split the week is we get one guest who wants to stay Monday to Wednesday and another guest who wants to stay Thursday to Sunday but the minimum stay is 6 nights. What we can do is take bookings for both guests and the reservations together will add up to the minimum 6-night stay. There will be an extra clean required and the cost of the clean will be split up based on the number of nights booked by each guest.

House Rules

  • Maximum occupancy is 12 people and includes adults and children. This includes any person staying overnight, coming over for dinner or just popping by quickly. This is stipulated by our business insurance and we never exceed that limit.
  • As per our insurance, all guests must be registered in advance. Send us a message and we will update your guest list.
  • No pets allowed
  • No parties or events.
  • Everyone must be over the age of 25 (or children travelling under the direct supervision of a legal parent/guardian).
  • Please take your shoes off at the front door. This is a Canadian custom and it makes the lives of our cleaning team much easier and helps keep the property in tip top shape!
  • Guests will need to sign our booking agreement. This is an easy digital process and we email all the information out when we confirm your booking.
